KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - Employees of a Kentwood furniture manufacturer will return to work Tuesday, after a fire at the factory.
Just before 11 p.m. Monday, flames were spotted at Knoll Group, located at 4300 36th Street. Firefighters say the filtration system above a welding unit caught fire. The factory's sprinkler system helped keep the fire in check until crews arrived and put it out.
Workers were evacuated while crews aired out the smoky building. No one was hurt.
