GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WZZM) - Two accidents occurring within just miles of each other overnight sent four people to the hospital.

Around 10 o'clock Monday night, Kent County Sheriff's deputies say two teenagers from Greenville were heading north on Wabasis when they ran a stop sign at 14 Mile Road, hitting another vehicle.

The other driver, a Sparta woman, was pinned inside. She was eventually freed and taken to Spectrum Butterworth with non-life threatening injuries.

The two teenagers took themselves to the hospital.

Our news crew, while returning from that accident, witnessed a second crash unfold just miles away.

Around 11:30 PM, a car heading west on M-57 hit the shoulder at Berrigan Avenue, corrected, then drifted across the road and into and ditch and finally into the driveway of the Rockford Ambulance Service.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
