
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Michigan's second largest school district is teaming up with one of the area's largest employers to give students a new high school option.
Grand Rapids Public School leaders announced a partnership Monday morning with Amway to expand a School of Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. It will focus on business management, marketing and finance taught through school curriculum and hands-on experience.
Creston High School and University Preparatory Academy are already involved in the school of business as part of GRPS' new Centers of Innovation initiative. It is currently only open to freshmen, but school leaders plan to add another grade each year.
