KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM)- A man who stole tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry from a Kentwood store will spend time behind bars.
An FBI fugitive team arrested 19-year-old Christopher Maurice Pearson in Georgia in July.
Investigators say he and two other men robbed a jewelry store on 28th Street.
Security video showed the men smashing into display cases, taking jewelry, and then running away.
Pearson plead guilty to the break-in.
He will serve five months in jail and five years on probation. He will also pay nearly $55,000 in restitution.
Police have recovered some of the stolen jewelry.
