GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Employees at Reagan Marketing and Design in Grand Rapids are helping children around the world get much needed shoes, by participating in a walk-a-thon using a new Steelcase Workstation.
For every mile walked through next Friday, the furniture-maker will donate to the non-profit organization "Friends of TOMS."
TOMS Shoes and its founder, Blake Mycoskie, business plan is simple: when a customer buys a pair of TOMS shoes, the company gives a pair to a disadvantaged child.
The Grand Rapids-based marketing communications firm is participating in the walk-a-thon as one of three winners of a Walkstation. You can watch the firm's winning video here on YouTube.
Employees will take turns using the walkstation. Clients and visitors are invited to participate as well.
