BYRON CENTER, MICH. - Kent County deputies say there will be no charges against the men responsible for the boom heard and felt through much of West Michigan over the weekend.
Investigators learned Saturday's explosion came from a bachelor party, where a group of men was shooting at Tannerite. Tannerite is an exploding target for sharpshooters using a high powered rifle.
Deputies looked into the incident, and found the men complied with all necessary laws moving and handling of the explosive targets, so none of them will face any charges.
