No one hurt after overnight house fire in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MICH. - No one was hurt after an early morning house fire ripped through two floors of a home in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says the fire broke out around midnight on Sunday, April 2, at a home on East Vine Street near Branch Street. 

When fire crews arrived on scene, they said heavy fire and smoke could be seen on the first floor. The second floor suffered the most fire damage and the first floor was left with both water and fire damage. 

There were no injuries reported.
