#GivingTuesday: Kid's Food Basket giving back to local children

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - This is the third year in a row that Kid's Food Basket has worked extra hard on Giving Tuesday to provide local children with food.

Kid's Food Basket staff and their family members are personally matching online donations made on Giving Tuesday, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000. Their goal is to inspire enough people to donate that the non-profit can remove three different schools from their immediate waiting list.

Removing those three schools means hundreds of children who eat lunch as their last meal of the day will be able to have a well-rounded evening meal.

More than 240 volunteer help prepare, pack and deliver Sack Suppers to more than 7,500 children at 42 different elementary schools in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland.
