Pedestrian hurt in crash on Grand Rapids' southwest side

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Grand Rapids police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on the city's southwest side early Monday, Nov. 13.

Police say the man was intoxicated when he crossed the road. A car hit him and he was taken to the hospital where is is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened sometime before 5 a.m. on Grandville Avenue SW near Martha Street SW.

The road was closed for a short time while police investigated.
