Perrin Brewing and volunteers assemble bicycles for first graders

Volunteers at Perrin Brewing build bikes for students

COMSTOCK PARK, MICH. - It was about more than beer at Perrin Brewing in Comstock Park Monday night. Dozens of volunteers came out to put together 55 bicycles for the first grade class at Aberdeen Elementary in Grand Rapids.

Perrin Brewing teamed up with the CAN'D Aid Foundation a non-profit organization based in Colorado to donate the bikes.  Diane Ralston the Executive Director of the CAN'D Aid Foundation says they put in the time for the children, "It's absolutely amazing, and the kids, often times we do it and they know they're going to an assembly or onto a field trip, but they have no idea what they're about to get. So seeing the look on their faces and just the sheer delight and joy, it's pretty amazing."

The bikes will be delivered to the students Tuesday afternoon.
