Grand Rapids' clerk's office extends hours to accommodate voters

Another factor that could have an effect on the election -- the increased popularity of early voting.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Grand Rapids' clerk's office will provide extended hours to accommodate the stronger projected voter turnout.

City Hall opened its doors Sunday, Oct. 30, for the first time in years to offer the community a place for in-person absentee voting.

"Recognizing the importance of this presidential election, compounded with busy schedules, voters are seeking for a more convenient time and ways to vote,” city clerk Darlene O’Neal said.

The office will extend its hours to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
