New voting equipment in Kent County for November election

New voting equipment

KENT COUNTY, MICH. - Voters in Kent County will be using new equipment when they head to the polls this November.

The county clerk announced  they chose Dominion Voting Systems, Incorporated. Lisa Posthumus Lyons the Kent County Clerk says the decision came down to the company's reliability and customer service as well as their partnership with Kent County-based election services provider ElectionSource.

Dominion is one of three vendors selected by the state, which is requiring by all 83 counties to replace old voting equipment by August 2018.

Last month, the Muskegon County Clerk announced they selected the Verity voting system.
