GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - More than half of all adults say the Presidential election is causing them significant stress. This coming from a new study released by the American Psychological Association.
The study also says that social media is part of the problem.
"If you're feeling completely stressed out about the election or just overwhelmed by it all turn off social media especially Facebook, that's where I'm seeing the most stress and depression," says Dr. Matthew Clark a Clinical Psychologist.
He also says it may be helpful to focus more on issues and less on candidates.
"If there is something you are passionate about like the environment, go out and do something to help the environment rather than putting down a candidate," says Clark.
