MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Muskegon's sixth annual Bike Time kicks off Thursday night and large crowds are expected this year, due in part to Michigan's new helmet law.
Bike Time organizer Matthew Louck says that in the past, many bikers, including those from out of state, who did not own a helmet were discouraged from coming to Bike Time because of Michigan's helmet laws.
Louck is hoping to see the event grow each year, and this year should provide a good launching pad.
"We want to be bigger and bigger each year," said Louck. "Then we can extend the hours and extend the days."
