Hospice of Michigan - Fruitport
FRUITPORT TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - Hospice of Michigan is taking part in a national effort to recognize local veterans.
Ten veterans who served in World War II and Vietnam were honored at a "pinning" ceremony in Fruitport Township Friday. The men are all from Muskegon and Ottawa counties.
The event included a 21-gun salute and formal recognition for each serviceman's service to country during conflict.
By the end of the year, Hospice of Michigan will have held similar events in 56 Michigan counties.
