MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Muskegon Police have arrested a teenager in connection with a hit and run accident involving a baby in a stroller.
Surveillance video from a convenience store shows a van backing into a woman and her young son in late June. Neither the woman nor her child were seriously hurt, but the driver left the scene.
Muskegon Police tell WZZM 13 that officers arrested one person Friday afternoon and are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for another person in the vehicle.
The Muskegon County Prosecutor tells WZZM 13 the person arrested is a 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The driver, a 20-year-old man has not yet been arrested.
The Prosecutor says when arrested, the driver will be charged with two misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an injury accident and a charge of driving without a license. It's not clear what charges the passenger will face.
Police will identify the two people arrested after their arraignments.
