BYRON TWP., Mich.  (WZZM) - A Kent County man who was the focus of several 13 On Your Side reports is facing more charges.

Jason Cooper is accused of offering home improvement services, accepting money, and not doing the work.

The most recent case involved a couple in Byron Township. Cooper offered to put a new roof on their barn in November of 2011. The couple gave him a $2,970 down payment.  He never did any of the work.

Since the report was filed in April of 2012, four more victims have come forward with the Kent County Sheriff's Department and the Walker Police Department.

Cooper is charged with a felony charge of false pretenses over $1,000. At the time of his arrest, he was out on bond on an unrelated felony case.

In April of 2012, Cooper also offered services to a homeowner in Sparta. She gave him $3,600 for a new roof. He never did any of the work. He was later charged with false pretenses. That case is pending in 63rd District Court.
