Miss America 2010 is in West Michigan Tuesday to deliver children's books to Helen DeVos Children's hospital in Grand Rapids. It's part of National Read Across America Day, sponsored in West Michigan by Amway Global and its Artistry beauty brand.
Caressa Cameron was crowned Miss America on January 30, 2010 and has been traveling the country since then talking about the Children's Miracle Network, and her personal platform of Real Talk: AIDS in America.
After her reign as Miss America 2010, Caressa plans to fulfill her degree requirements at Virginia Commonwealth University, pursue a Masters degree in mass communications, and she hopes to become an anchor in television news.
