ALLEGAN, Mich. (WZZM) - An Allegan County couple faces up to one year in prison after pleading guilty this morning to animal cruelty charges.
More than 350 shih tzus were taken from George and Cheri Burke's home earlier this month.
Today they pled guilty to misdemeanor charges of abandoning, cruelty to animals.
West Michigan animal shelters have groomed, washed and vaccinated the rescued dogs and are offering them for adoption.
