Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Detroit Lions have acquired wide
receiver Mike Thomas from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for an
undisclosed draft pick.
Thomas had just 13 catches for 80 yards this season. The Arizona product
hauled in 171 passes for 1,768 yards and six touchdowns over three-plus
seasons with Jacksonville.
The Lions placed wide receiver Nate Burleson on injured reserve last week.
The NFL pushed the trade deadline back to Thursday because of Hurricane Sandy.
The deadline originally was scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, but has been
delayed 48 hours due to the storm, which hit the East Coast on Monday.
