
Kentwood police want to question Javonte Higgins about the murders of David and Vivian Bouwman.

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - A person-of-interest being sought in a double murder in Kentwood is now considered a suspect and should be considered "armed & dangerous."
Javonte Higgins, 22, is a suspect in the January 5 killing of David and Vivian Bouwan. They were found shot to death in their home on Stowevalley Drive SE.
Higgins was wanted for questioning in the case and has a criminal history of breaking and entering. Police say that Higgins walks with a significant limp after he was involved in a car accident in December.
Higgins was injured in a December 10 accident on Gentian Drive SE in Kentwood. He crashed his car into a tree, injuring his hip. Officers say they had tried to pull him over for speeding before he lost control. They say he was driving a car stolen from a Wyoming home.
