DETROIT (AP) - Michigan voters have approved proposals to restrict eminent domain and protect conservation funds. But they rejected a law allowing dove hunting. The state's ban on hunting mourning doves had stood until 2004. A limited three-year trial hunting season was suspended after the first year. Dove-hunting opponents say there's little reason to hunt a bird cherished mostly as a backyard songbird. A proposal to guarantee annual increases in education funding is trailing so far in the returns. The proposal would increase education funding by about 565 million dollars per year.
