ALLEGAN COUNTY- A missing Fennville girl was found safe Monday around 10:30 p.m. in the village of Hopkins.
Cathleen Kizer is 18 years old and mentally challenged. Her mother, Shannon Kizer, told WZZM that their daughter hitched a ride at 6:30 Monday evening. She told the driver she was headed to a friend's home in Hopkins.
“We're just relieved,” said Shannon Kizer, as the couple headed to Hopkins to be reunited with their daughter.
Cathleen Kizer was last seen Sunday at 11 a.m. Her parents say she left The First Church of God heading west on M-89 to go to her grandmother's house.
"She left church and was walking near the new McDonald towards my mom's which is another 3 blocks away to do her paper route," her mother said.
Kizer wandered off twice before but never for this long and never as far away as Hopkins.
It's unclear where Kizer spent Sunday night and where she was for most of the day Monday.
