MOORLAND TOWNSHIP - An elderly Cedar Springs woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Muskegon County. It happened around 8 a.m. on M-46 near Ravenna Road.
Michigan State Police say a 19-year-old man from Grant may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing him to cross the center line.
He struck another vehicle carrying three women. An 80-year-old woman sitting in the back seat was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities do not believe speed or alcohol are a factor in the crash, however the investigation remains open pending a toxicology result.
