Teleka Patrick family in mourning after body found in Lake Charles in Indiana

INDIANA, (WZZM) - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department is reporting that a fisherman found a female body in Lake Charles in Porter Indiana.

WZZM spoke with Teleka's family who say while they are still awaiting an official identification, they are in mourning assuming the body may be that of Teleka.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 7:10 a.m., this Sunday, April 06, 2014, a local fisherman called Porter, Indiana Police to report something suspicious floating in the water of Lake Charles.

Indiana State Police and members of our SCUBA team as well as members of Porter Fire and Rescue team responded to the scene. A female body dressed in dark clothing was recovered from the water.

An autopsy will be scheduled for sometime this week to positively identify the body.

Lake Charles is near the area where missing Doctor Teleka Patrick's car was found last December.
