KALAMAZOO, MICH. - Speed is considered a factor in a fatal crash near the city's Crane Park.
Joshua Andersen Locke, a 37-year-old Kalamazoo man, was killed when his vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree, according to a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety news release.
The crash happened around 8:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27.
Police say Locke was traveling north on South Park near West Maple streets. Officers pulled him out of the vehicle soon after they arrived to the scene, but life-saving efforts were not successful.
An early investigation shows speed might have played a role in the crash.
