I-96 in Grand Rapids reopens after crash involving Rapids bus vehicle

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Westbound traffic backed up for some time in Grand Rapids after a crash shut down I-96 at I-196.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says the freeway has reopened at the interchange following the crash, which happened shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 11.

No word at this time how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt. However, it appears at least one Rapid bus vehicle was caught up in the crash.
