Dispatch: Car stuck under jackknifed semi-truck, highway shutdown

ALLEGAN COUNTY, MICH. - According to Allegan County Dispatch, a portion of southbound US-131 is closed due to multiple accidents, including a jackknifed semi-truck with a car stuck underneath it.

A dispatcher confirmed the crashes occurred around 9:50 a.m. Friday, March 17, on US-131 near the Wayland exit.

Officials have closed down both southbound US-131 and the roadway at 142nd Avenue near Dorr Township for a few hours while responders cleaned up the accident. All lanes were reported open by the Michigan Department of Transportation around 1 p.m. on Friday.

Initial reports from deputies are that those involved have suffered minor injuries.
