Driver gets out of rolled-over SUV near Rockford

Investigators say the driver of the SUV went through a stop sign, causing the crash.

COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, MICH. - The driver involved in a roll-over crash near Rockford suffered only minor injuries.

Police were called just before 9:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, to the intersection of 12 Mile Road and Shaner Avenue NE for the crash, which involved a rolled-over SVU and a driver stuck inside, according to dispatch reports.

Firefighters were called in to help remove the driver from their vehicle. However, upon arrival, officers reported the driver was able to get out OK.

Police at the scene say the driver received minor injuries. It's believed the driver ran a stop sign, causing the crash.

Another vehicle involved in the crash was found in a ditch. Its driver sustained only minor injuries.
