Driver killed after crossing I-94 median, crashing into semi

PAW PAW, MICH. - One person is dead after a van versus semi-truck crash in Van Buren County.

Michigan State Police say the accident occurred Wednesday, Sept. 7 on eastbound I-94 near mile marker 62 in Paw Paw.

Around 9 a.m., a westbound van crossed the median and collided with a semi head-on.

The driver of the van, 38 year old Ryan Cramer of Mattawan, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, Gregory Jenkins, 32, of Chicago, IL., was transported to Lakeview Hospital for treatment.

The names of those involved will not be released until family members are notified.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
