Update: Police blame unlicensed teen driver in 28th Street crash

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Eastbound 28th Street has reopened to traffic hours after a multi-vehicle crash near Breton Road.

At least three people were taken to the hospital with varying injuries, according to Grand Rapids police. The crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27.

The extent of the victims' injuries is not yet known.

Grand Rapids Police earlier had westbound down to one lane and advised drivers to seek an alternative route with the eastbound lanes closed.
