Bike vs. car crash in Holland Twp.

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A Holland man is hospitalized with internal injuries after authorities in Ottawa County say his bike hit a car Friday night.

It happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Quincy Street and 136th Avenue in Holland Township.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies say 62-year-old James Visser stopped at the stop sign on Quincy, then proceeded through the intersection when Juan Maldonado, 36, of Holland, rode his bike into the side of Visser's vehicle.

Maldonado was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition, despite internal injuries suffered from impact.

Deputies say Maldonado was not wearing a helmet.
