VAN BUREN COUNTY, MICH. - A Lawton area man could face charges after crashing his car into a swamp in Van Buren County Thursday night.
Deputies were called around 10 p.m., March 16, to 96th Avenue near 36th Street where they found a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am 6 to 8 feet away from the road.
Deputies found the driver wandering down the middle of 96th Avenue near the crash site.
Deputies say they smelled a strong odor of intoxicants on the driver. They observed he had blood shot and watery eyes. They say he also had a hard time keeping his balance and slurred speech.
The 22 year old was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
