MDOT to come up with new plan & maps for biking

MDOT asking for input on nonmotorized plan

Leaders from the Michigan Department of Transportation are asking for feedback on the plan to develop new bike maps for West Michigan, as well as a "nonmotorized plan."

On Monday, June 5, MDOT held its first informational meeting in Ludington. There will be three more meeting to discuss the map and plans.

The meetings will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker City Hall, 4243 Remembrance Road, Walker
  • Monday, June 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Herrick District Library, 300 S. River Avenue, Holland
  • Tuesday, June 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Barry Community Foundation, 231 S. Broadway, Hastings

The meetings will include a brief presentation before people there can give input.
