Motorcyclist killed in Wyoming crash

WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) -- A motorcycle crash killed a 51-year-old man from Wyoming Thursday evening.

The crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Clyde Park just south of 28th Street.

According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, on one wheel, just before the crash. Police say the motorcyclist was not able to avoid hitting a car that was pulling out from a strip mall.

The bike traveled several hundred feet after the crash. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he was not wearing a helmet.

The victim's name is being withheld until the family is notified.
