One man dead after being ejected from car during crash

RICHLAND, TOWNSHIP, MICH. - One man is dead after being ejected from his car during a crash in Richland Township on Friday.

The crash happened on Friday, March 10 around 11:10 p.m. in the 6900th block of North 30th Street in Richland Township. When Kalamazoo County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 52-year-old Richland man had been ejected from his car and was not breathing.

Deputies attempted CPR on the man until Richland Fire Department and Price Care EMS arrived. None of the resuscitation efforts were successful. 

The driver, the only passenger in his car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say that he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. At this time, it is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
