Police blame unlicensed teen driver in 28th Street crash

An unlicensed teenage driver is to blame for a three-car crash on 28th Street near Breton Avenue.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - An unlicensed teen driver is to blame for a three-car crash earlier Sunday on 28th Street.

A westbound vehicle trying to turn into a parking lot was hit from behind by a second vehicle, according to a Grand Rapids police news release. The impact of that crash pushed the vehicle into oncoming eastbound traffic.

Police list the at-fault driver in the crash as a 17-year-old teen without a license.

The crash happened around 12:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, on 28th Street east of Breton Avenue.

Police say four people were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
