Traffic: 2 people seriously injured after 3-car crash in Montcalm County

REYNOLDS TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A man and women were seriously injured in a three car crash Friday, Montcalm County Sheriff's deputies say.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of M-46 and Edgar Road in Reynolds Township.

In a news release from the sheriff's office, Joseph Hondalus, 56, of Howard City, was stopped at a stop sign on Edgar Road when he pulled out into the intersection, he was hit head-on by a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Johnathan Little, of Crystal. The force of the crash pushed Hondulas' vehicle in front of a third.

Hondalus has one passenger in his vehicle at the time of the crash. She and Hondulas suffered serious, but according to deputies, non-life threatening injuries.

Little also had a passenger in his car. She was not hurt in the crash -- Little suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Deputies say the third driver involved in the crash, Christopher Conger, complained of some pain but refused medical treatment.

The crash is still under investigation, but authorities do say all the people involved were wearing their seat belts.
