Try It Before You Buy It: Secret Extensions

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)-- Hair extensions are pretty popular right now to give you the appearance of longer, thicker hair, but a new one being advertised right now caught some viewers' attention because of how easy on and easy off it looks. Secret Extensions is being promoted by celebrity Daisy Fuentes. It's a simple headband with no clips or combs to deal with, and at $39.99, it's less expensive than other hair extensions being sold.

4 ladies from WZZM 13 helped me put it to the test. Valerie Lego, Hannah Saunders, Stephanie Webb and Angela Cunningham all have various shades of brown hair. I ordered the dark brown, just to see who it would blend with best.

All four women agreed it was really easy to put on. The headband hides nicely in your hair line, it's just a super thin elastic band that goes over the top of your hair. It doesn't tangle in your hair at all. You can curl it at a lower heat setting, which it did curl for us, but it recommends clipping the curl and letting it set for a better hold.

It blended very well with all of the darker brown hair colors, because it has various shades in it. Of course it comes in a number of different colors and shades of brown, blonde and red.

If you tease it a bit with a comb, it does blend very well, but we found some people may need a couple of the Secret Extensions if you have thicker hair because it can look a bit thin.

But overall, the WZZM ladies would recommend it.
