NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WZZM)-In the 1950s, drive-in theatres were the most popular way to watch a movie.
But as time passed, their popularity fades. According to drivein.com, Michigan was once home to more than 130 drive-in theatres. Now only ten of them are still open, including The Getty 4 Drive-In Theatre in Norton Shores.
The Getty 4 Drive-In Theatre is open seven nights a week. All movies begin at dusk. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children, except on Tuesday when all tickets cost $5.
