CHICAGO (WFLD/CNN) -- On this 71st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, a World War II-era plane has been brought back to the surface of Lake Michigan on Friday. The plane has been lying on the bottom of the lake for nearly 70 years. The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation is sponsoring the recovery. The aircraft crashed during training near Waukegan, IL in December 1944.
