GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The Michigan International Auto Show in Grand Rapids opens to the public Thursday, featuring more than one million dollars in high-end vehicles under one roof.
One of the priciest cars at devos place is the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish, worth $347,000. It's hand built and hand painted, has a 565 horsepower engine, and an outer skin made of carbon fiber making it lighter than ever. The interior also features more than a million stitches.
Ed Jolliffe is a dealer who sells other vehicles. He is getting his own Aston Martin in March and says it's worth the big price tag.
"Looking at that car just kinda gets my heart going ten paces faster... it's one of the prettiest cars I've ever seen," says Jolliffe: "It's the look, it's the color, it's the way it runs-- it's just a lot of cars stir your emotions and this one gets all of 'em going."
Brian Bucholtz, sales manager at Aston Martin of Troy agrees. "It's something you don't see daily... It's a wow car, and that's what people want to see-- a wow car."
The 2014 Vanquish will be available after April.
