YWCA reveals major upgrades

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Victims of domestic violence now have more help in West Michigan. The YWCA in downtown Grand Rapids is revealing major upgrades.

Technology renovations like remote communication are now possible. The YWCA helps more than 5,000 West Michigan women each year who are victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence.

"The needs of these women are urgent, they are immediate, and the people who are served here often don't have anywhere else to turn," says Carla Blinkhorn of the YWCA.

The multi-million dollar upgrade was made possible by some very generous donations.
