ZEELAND, MICH. - Bring your own ice skates to take part in this new, fun and free way of enjoying winter.
The new 'iceless' skating rink at Elm Street Park allows skaters to get their fix even when temperatures are not below freezing.
The 'ice' is actually made from synthetic materials.
The City of Zeeland encourages skaters to use caution while first adjusting to the feel of the rink.
The city also asks those who use the rink to help keep it clean - using the provided shovel and squeegee.
The rink is located on Elm Street between Cherry Court and Main Avenue just across from City Hall and the Splash Pad.
