EAST GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A local landscaper is getting a lot of attention these days after being chosen to be part of a national Carhartt ad campaign.
Pattie McGovern is a wife, mother of two girls and usually lives a fairly routine life. But for a brief time last year, she got to experience what it's like to be a fashion model.
Ads featuring McGovern were featured in People Magazine last fall. She says while strangers haven't been stopping asking for autographs, people are definitely recognizing her a lot more.
"I am getting a lot of texts and E-mails from old friends I haven't talked to in years, saying 'I was standing in line in Meijer, leafing through People Magazine and I saw your picture.' That has been fun," she said.
She talks about her new public profile in this month's Grand Rapids Family Magazine.
