COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WZZM) - Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Wednesday morning, and they're currently looking for two armed suspects who wore masks.
According to Ottawa County Central Dispatch, police were called to a home on Roberts Court in Coopersville about 5:44 a.m.
According to police, a man wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun confronted an employee of the Family Fare in Coopersville as the man was leaving his home to go to work.
The manager was forced into his own car and was taken to the store, where he was ordered to open the store's safe and give up the cash. The suspect was waiting outside.
The employee was forced back into his vehicle, but was released a short time later after a second masked suspect drove up in a white pick-up truck and the two suspects drove away together.
They were last seen heading southbound on 68th Street in an older white pickup truck without a truck bed.
They are described at 5'7" to 5'10". They are suspected to be white males. Police are investigating to see if the robbery was an 'inside job.'
Anyone who sees the suspects, or has information, is asked to call 911.
