WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM)- Demolition is about halfway complete for what was once a symbol of manufacturing power in West Michigan. Crews took down the front wall of the old General Motors plant on 36th St. in Wyoming.
Kenneth Thede worked at that plant for more than 30-years. "You never think that you'll see something like this coming down like this, but I guess it is progress... Maybe the plant's outdated they got a new way of doing things better. Too bad they have to do it in other countries."
Demolition started in November. It is expected to end in May.
