GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)-Classic, antique and muscle cars were all on display Saturday as part of a benefit for veterans.
This was the third year for the Classic Car Show, organized by the Rockford American Legion Post. Visitors to the Deltaplex checked out all makes and models while enjoying family friendly activities, food, music, art and a special appearance by Miss Michigan.
A portion of proceeds for the show will go to veteran programs, including Pets for Vets, which helps veterans heal from the emotional wounds of war.
"With my depression, I didn't want to get up in the morning. He gets up with me," says Iraq War veteran Michael Kadlek, as he pats his dog. "He definitely cheers me up."
The Wounded Warriors Project will also benefit from Saturday's car show.
