Vacant building where woman's body was found, 700 blk S. Division Ave., Grand Rapids.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Police are awaiting results of an autopsy on a woman found dead in a vacant Grand Rapids building.
The fire department was called to the building in the 700 block of South Division Ave. just before 7 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a woman not breathing. Firefighters and police found the woman dead when they arrived.
The cause of death could not be determined at the scene. The Kent County medical examiner performed an autopsy on the body Wednesday afternoon, but officers did not have the results.
Detectives are not releasing the woman's name until they contact her family.
