WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - Unlike Thursday night's nail-biter at Pinery Park, when Grandville had to use the late innings to rally to win, Friday night's rematch wiith Hudsonville was decided in the first inning.

Grandville beat Hudsonville, 17-3, sending the 9 & 10-year old softball all-stars to the state tournament.

Grandville scored 4 runs in the first inning. Hudsonville would score twice in its half of the first, but that was as close as they'd get.

Grandville tacked on 4 more runs in the 2nd inning, then put the game out of reach with a 9-run, 3rd inning to take a 17-3 lead.

The mercy rule was in effect in the 4th inning. Hudsonville needed to score a minimum of 4 runs to keep the game going, but could not do it.
